FAQS - Dermaplaning

A method to smooth and exfoliate the skin, removing dead skin cells and Vellus Hair.
This is the light fine non pigmented hair found all over the body. This is different from terminal (thick black) hair which occurs on the legs and other parts of the body as a process of getting older.
No. The hair will grow back, as fine as it was - though it may go through a short period where is feels blunt as it regrows. This is due to the blading and the tips now being blunt. It’s not noticeable.
It removes dead skin cells which sit on the top layer of your face, and the Vellus hair which allows active skincare to better penetrate the skin and do its job! It allows make up to sit better on the face too!
We recommend doing this at night, as per instructions on our packaging. Add your favourite serums/ moisturizer afterwards. We recommend wearing sunscreen everyday, but especially after dermaplaning. DO NOT USE RETINOL until a day or two after depending on your skins tolerance to retinol use, and do not dermaplane if you have active acne/bacteria or lesions on your face (or area dermaplaning) as you don’t want to move the bacteria around and impede on healing of your skin.
Our blades and caps are wheat straw, the blade is Swedish stainless steel with a micro safeguard. You can remove the blade and recycle with your steels/metals. The cap and handle can be put in the recycling.
